And as Interista already told you multiple times, this forum isn't our job, it's our hobby and we certainly have better things to do than making immediate updates only because someone puts a one-line-post without any explanation. About the admin thing: All admins here have contributed to this forum for years, not just some weeks.

What a goal from Marco Rúben in his return to Rosario Central. 106 and counting, such a legend.

A bit of trivia: the last time Germany won the opening match of a UEFA Euro, the team won the whole tournament. They beat Belgium 2-1 in the final of the 1980 edition.

After the abhorrent draw between Peru and Chile, I started thinking: The renewal of South American national teams is extremely weak. Many had their golden years in the last two decades, but the future for almost all of them looks rather unpromising.
Today I saw Bravo (41), Alexis (35), Vargas (36), Isla (36), Guerrero (40), Zambrano (34), Gallese (34), and Advíncula (34; who also got injured). And it's not that they play because of who they are like it happens with some teams that keep renowned players in their lineup who no longer perform as they did years ago. Rather, despite their age and decline in performance, they are still the best these countries have to offer!
Excluding Argentina, Ecuador, and Venezuela, no country has made significant progress in preparing for the new generation of players. Colombia and Uruguay have managed to stay consistent over time, and Brazil has one of the weakest generations of players in its history (but remains Brazil, the greatest national team in the world). I would say that except for Uruguay and Colombia, the others are quite behind compared to what they achieved on a global level in these years. We might see more of Ecuador and Venezuela taking the places that, for example, Peru and Chile occupied.
This is Messi's last Copa América for Argentina and there's no certainty he will play the 2026 World Cup so there's also that question of how we will fare after Messi retires. We have an amazing new generation, but I don't know if that will be enough.
