Bobby Mitchell played for the Magpies from 1949 to 1961, becoming something of a cult hero amongst supporters who nicknamed him "Dazzler".
His amazing dribbles down the left wing, his ability to take players on, beating them on the outside or cutting inside, were a joy to behold. His crossing ability ensured a supply of goal opportuinities for the likes of Milburn, et al, and he could score sublime goals of his own.
All in all, Dazzler made 410 appearances for Newcastle United, scoring 113 goals and winning 3 FA Cups.
