Nestoridis was probably one of the most gifted footballers ever produced in Greece, a player of brilliant skill and scoring ability. He was known for his ability to place the ball almost anywhere he wanted, sometimes even announcing which corner he would shoot at before perfectly placing it there. This ability helped him become a threat from not just free kicks and penalties, but also a lethal scorer from corner kicks from which he supposedly scored 17 times. His touch and technique were also fantastic and he's said to have had a telepathic relationship with the ball. This combined with his agility and quick bursts of speed made him a tough opponent to defend against. For AEK he scored an incredible 227 games in only 264 games and was top scorer of the Greek championship 5 years in a row. He only won 1 league title and 1 cup during his 11 years at the club, although he was banned from playing in the 55/56 and 56/57 seasons because he signed a contract with AEK while still a Panionios player. Despite being the best player in Greece at the time, Nestoridis only played 17 times for the national team and scored 3 goals; he had a bad relationship with the national team selectors. Today Nestoridis is still honoured as one of the greatest legends of Greek football, and he had one of the 4 pillars in AEK's new stadium dedicated to him alongside Stelios Serafidis, Thomas Mavros and Mimis Papaioannou.
