Henning Enoksen was a legendary Danish forward, one of the most prolific in Danish history and part of the team that won the silver medal at the 1960 Olympics. Enoksen was an inside forward most known for his fantastic left foot which was known as the most famous and feared in Denmark at the time. His powerful shots were legendary and this was how he claimed most of his goals. Other than that he also had excellent shooting technique from volleys and he was also a good free kick taker. One of his most famous stories involved a goalkeeper refusing to place a wall in front of his free kick so he could see the shot earlier; the goalkeeper caught the shot perfectly, but it was so powerful that he fell into the net while holding the ball. Enoksen formed a strong partnership in the Denmark national team with Harald Nielsen, and ended his career with 29 goals in 54 games for his country. His record in club football was fantastic: 111 goals in 132 games for Vejle BK and 83 goals in 115 games for AGF. In his prime he was arguably the best player in Denmark but he rejected an offer to play professionally in Italy, if he had accepted he could have become a legend abroad too but he was happy to stay as an amateur in his home country and live a comfortable life.
