What have done Lukaku to deserve to be here? Couple of goals against Tunisia and Panama? Is it enough?
Agree for Hazard, de Bruyne and Kompany.

Like been the top scorer of his nation already with 25 years?
And to which amateurs fossils did the others scored against? Pretty sure they weren't in anyway better than the current Tunisia, Panama, USA or even Ireland.

Goals against Panama and Tunisia at the World Cup are 100x more important than goals in friendlies, no matter who the opposition are. Mermans for example didn’t score a single goal in a competitive game for Belgium, literally all 27 were in friendlies, so I don’t see how you can use Lukaku’s goals as being less “important” as an argument...

So what? Almost all national have as a top scorer a contemporary player because there are more matches, more weak nationals, etc. Lukaku is the most overrated n.9 in the world imho, I really don't know what you guys see in him to deserve a spot here: one foot, he is like a big bull watching the ground and run, he miss hundreds easy goal, he can't even stop a ball.

Hazard and KdB are a must in this team.

I’m not saying that Lukaku should be in the team because he’s Belgium’s top scorer, because as you say anyone can score loads of goals against teams like San Marino and Gibraltar, guys like Rooney and Van Persie shouldn’t be in first team because they constantly underperformed in international tournaments. Lukaku should be in first team because he has turned up for Belgium in big moments and was a huge part of their best ever finish in the World Cup...
Having someone that didn’t score a single competitive goal in the first team is a joke honestly. I have absolutely no doubt that if it was Lukaku that hadn’t scored a competitive goal, you’d use that against him instead of making excuses. Coppens and Voorhoof scored in the World Cup, Braine scored in the Olympics, what’s Mermans’s excuse? And just because you’re biased against Lukaku doesn’t mean he’s a bad player, he’s an excellent striker: phenomenally athletic, a great finisher with his feet and great hold up play. He’s even a really good crosser. And look at the winner against Japan, he basically created the whole goal without even touching the ball. Why should someone that only scored in games that don’t matter be in the first team instead of someone that played excellently in a team that made Belgian history?
