Andreas Kupfer, Albin Kitzinger and Ludwig Goldbrunner should be in the reserves..
Also Häßler should be replaced with Szepan or Ballack, they both contributed more to the NT than Häßler..

Yes, I don't think Hassler deserves to stay in first team but Ballack I always thought he is overrated so IMHO he doesn't deserve the first team.
K.H. Forster and Sammer IMHO deserve to stay in first team but I don't know who move to reserves... Germany had too much fantastic players...

Well Ballack was very important for Germany in many tournaments. In 2002 he scored three goals in the playoffs against Ukraine that brought the NT to the WC where he scored the decisive goals against USA and South Korea. He also played a very good WC 2006 & EC 2008 where he was a great leader for our NT..
TBH I personally prefer Szepan but everybody is free to choose the players for his OF ;)

In your opinion Szepan and Ballack deserve more than Haller to be in first team?

More than Haller and more than Häßler. But regarding German AS I have a special opinion and I don't think that other users would agree with my suggestions for this team ;)

Well, then here are my suggestions:
Players who should be taken out of this squad:
- Alfred Pfaff: Although I consider him to be one of the best German players ever, I see no reason why he should be here. He played only 7 matches for the national team and was mostly just a reserve player because Fritz Walter played on the same position.
- Ernst Kuzorra: Same problem as with Pfaff. Of course he was one of the most complete German attackers, I don't see a reason why he should be part of this team. He only played 12 matches bexause of his problems with Otto Nerz & Sepp Herberger but he has archieved nothing with the NT and doesn't deserve his spot here..
- Oliver Neuville: Why in hell is this average player part of the German AS? He was only part of the national teams because Germany didn't have any good strikers (except Klose) when he played. Another reason why he was so much caps for Germany is that he came from bench 36 times. In every other German team he wouldn't have been nominated..

Players who should be part of this team:
- Hans Kalb: Probably the best German pre-war midfielder, also captain of the national team for several years. He only played one tournament with the national team (Summer Olympics 1928) because there weren't any World Cups or European Championships during his prime. After he was sent off in the quarter final of the Olympics against Uruguay (by a referee whose decisions strangely were all against Germany) the DFB banned him from the national team.
- Heiner Stuhlfauth: The greatest German pre-war goalkeeper who also (like Kalb and Richard Hofmann) could only participate during the 1928 Summer Olympics. If Willibald Kreß is good enough to have a spot here, Stuhlfauth also needs one.
- Karl Mai: The forgotten hero of Bern. The guy who took Kocsis out of the match. If Eckel, Kohlmeyer, Liebrich and Posipal are all mentioned here, we should also add Karl Mai.
- Andreas Kupfer, Albin Kitzinger & Ludwig Goldbrunner: The players who formed the best German midfield ever all have to be here. They unfortunately only played one World Cup (where Germany went out because Herberger had to use Austrian players in his team) and WW2 prevented them to play another world cup.

This would be my suggestions for this team..

After winning the World Cup, this team surely needs an update:
1) Klose, Schweinsteiger and Lahm all need to be in first team. Klose instead of Völler, Schweinsteiger instead of Häßler and Lahm instead of Kaltz or Briegel..
2) More players from recent squad could be considered for reserves. Neuer and Müller surely deserve their spot here (in a few years they'll surely need their place in first 23) while Mertesacker, Hummels, Kroos, Götze and Boateng could also be considered..

I'd like to say, for Götze we could wait before... Götze is young, he only played well the final in the WC, and I'd like to suggest wait before considering him...

What about Reus? He was important, like Götze for example before his injury, but he is in the same situation, too young yet.

And Khedira? Tactically the best player in the world right now (in my opinion, if not, can annyone explain me why he plays always with Mourinho, Löw and Ancelotti before his injury when they have "better" players?), Khedira was one of the most important players in this FIFA WC for Germany, and in 2010 the same (less important, but well, he was there too).

Another example of a team that needs to be at 30-32 players, just for the insane amount of legends given by the Deutsch, it's simply not enough to keep the 23 players format..

PD: I didn't touch anything....yet
