Willian is a Brazilian winger mostly known for his time with Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk. Willian is a player most respected for his excellent work rate, at his peak he could track back endlessly for 90 minutes. With his great speed and fitness he could cover his whole side of the pitch. Although he was a star left winger and attacking midfielder with Shakhtar, he played on the right wing for Chelsea and was a useful tactical piece to balance the team. His attacking output was often criticised for being inconsistent and he was quite predictable, but his dribbling was very good and he was more used to get his team up the pitch and support his teammates than to directly get goals and assists. And he was a professional player who was available every game of the season, ready to work hard for his team. Willian was never a superstar and at times frustrated the fans with his attacking inefficiency, but in his almost 350 games for Chelsea he earned himself plenty of respect and was a favourite of every manager he played for.
