Sarr is a winger, primarily on the right, who can also play as centre-forward. His career started in 2016 at Metz. He then played for Stade Rennais between 2017 and 2019. He transferred to Watford where he had a good four year spell, playing in Premier League and Championship, and scoring 34 goals in 131 appearances. After an underwhelming 2023-24 season at Olympique Marseille, he returned to England, this time at Crystal Palace where he had a very good 2024-25 season with 12 goals in 47 matches. He has capped 73 times for Senegal so far, scoring 16 goals and winning the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sarr is an exciting winger who has his trademarks in dribbling skills, outstanding pace and accurate crossing. He's not always consistent from a scoring perspective, but he creates many chances thanks to his ability to set up his teammates, occasionally even starting the attack from his own half. He often runs along the entire forward line, switching side or moving to the box regardless of his position in the pitch. He's also smart in reading the situations as he's quick to take advantage of a defender's mistake and steal the ball to attempt an offense. He can shoot with good power but usually prefers to beat the goalkeeper with softer, well placed and angles shots. He's a natural right-footed and uses the left only when necessary, being quite accurate with it too. Even though he has a tall frame, he's not particularly good in the air as he rarely scores with headers. He's also not too strong in physical challenges, but that allows him to earn numerous penalties which he sometimes also takes.
