INFO:

Fink began his career with Borussia Dortmund's reserve squad before moving to SG Wattenscheid 09, where he helped them gain promotion to the German premier league, the Bundesliga, in 1990. After the club's relegation in 1994, he moved to Karlsruher SC, where he spent three seasons as a regular and impressed so much that he earned himself a move to the most successful club in Germany, Bayern Munich, in 1997. He subsequently spent seven seasons at Bayern, five of which as a regular, but lost his place in the starting lineup in 2002 and was transferred to the club's reserve squad in the German third division, the Regionalliga, in February 2003, although he managed a return to the Bundesliga squad in late April 2003. In the 2003–04 season, he became a regular in Bayern's reserve squad and only made one, his last, Bundesliga appearance that season, coming on as a substitute against VfL Wolfsburg in September 2003. His contract with Bayern's Bundesliga squad expired in June 2004 and he subsequently only continued to play another two seasons for the club's reserve squad before definitely ending his playing career upon the end of the 2005–06 season. While playing for Bayern's first team, he helped the team reach the 1999 Champions League final against Manchester United, where Bayern dramatically lost 2–1, conceding two goals in injury time. However, Fink still managed to pick up a Champions League winner's medal two years later, as Bayern beat Valencia in the 2001 Champions League final on penalties, although he did not play in the match. He also won four Bundesliga champions titles and three German Cups with the club. He was forced to end his playing career in 2006 after sustaining cartilage damage in his knee.

Gurkenjoe what do you think about this set, it's very old set made years ago by Naka. I'm not sure for such a high TMW, he was destroyer in midfield like De Jong, it looks more likely to me that we coud swap MEN with TMW. Also DEF can be even higher, if I remember well he was sometimes even used as "emergency CB". He wasn't particularly skillful with the ball, I remember Nakayama gave him a bit lower stats for passing originally, but raised it after my suggestions since it seemed to me too low back than. But now after I rewatched few games, I think Naka was right about that. He was certainly worse than Nerlinger in passing and TEC/DA...

I absolutely agree with those suggestions. IMO he could easily have yellow value for DEF, meanwhile passing stats should be in white. His main focus was defensive work, passing wasn't a quality of him..
MEN surely can be higher, TMW surely should be lower (actually I don't think he's worth more than 80/81 there..)..

Yes, in the meantime while you were absent I've watched another game where he played as CB, and he looked more than solid. So I'd certainly add CB among positions. DEF certainly can be in yellow, he was very good in dispossessing the opponents, pretty strong and astute in defence. But I wouldn't go with 87 in MEN, maybe a bit lower about 85.

Sorry about that, I was on a study trip from university..
I guess 85 for MEN would be a good choice, what do you suggest for DEF?

For now maybe 80, if you or anyone else have more time to watch him, it could be raised even more. I've watched just few games lately but still find him better in defensive tasks than Jeremies, Strunz, Nerlinger and Hamman..

So what about the following changes:
DEF: 77 -> 80
SPA: 77 -> 74
SPS: 75 -> 73
LPA: 75 -> 73
MEN: 80 -> 85
TMW: 87 -> 81

I'd keep SPA in green, on 75. Also lower DS in white, and TEC down on 75. And HEA & JUM should be higher, when he played as CB he was solid on high balls sent in the area..

good update but at this point I'd change his era to 1998-2000 , in around 2001 Rudi wanted to call him up for the NT . but Fink refused ''i'm a little too old now'' , with the KSC he was more attack minded instead , scoring several goals.
