Briggs was a centre forward. A very prolific striker, he scored 78 goals in 116 for Grimsby Town between 1947 and 1950; 22 goals in 50 games for Birmingham City in 1951-52; 140 goals in 194 matches for Blackburn Rovers from 1952 to 1957. He retired in 1958.
Briggs was a strong free-scoring striker. He wasn't tactically clever but he was phenomenal near the goal. He was gifted with great sense of goal, he was able to score with both feet as well as with the head. He holds the record for more goals scored in a single match for Blackburn Rovers with 7 goals in a 8-3 win against Bristol Rovers on 5th February 1955.

I would say he's overrated in every aspect because this whole period he played in second division. With these stats, he could have been an international.

Mh you're right, I didn't count that at all, my bad. I'll make a general decrease.
