INFO:
Vernazza was a right winger, comfortable also as right inside and centre forward. He played for Platense from 1947 to 1951, scoring 53 goals in 109 matches. He then joined River Plate, where he scored 72 times in 154 games from 1951 to 1956. During his time in Argentina, he capped 6 times for the national team, scoring once. In 1957 he transferred to Italy, playing for Palermo: 115 matches and 51 goals in three seasons. He's considered as one of the greatest foreign players in the history of the Rosanero. He stayed a few more years in Italy, playing for Milan and Lanerossi Vicenza, before retiring in 1964.
Vernazza was a prolific scorer, always right-footed, gifted with good technique, an incredibly powerful shot and great sense of position. He was outstanding from the distance or when he shot to the bottom corner as soon as he got inside the box. During a match against Parma in 1958, his shot was so powerful that he came inside the goal from the outside and, despite Vernazza telling the referee that the goal wasn't valid, it was allowed anyway. A peculiarity of Ghito − as he was nicknamed − was the way he usually stopped the ball with the thigh before shooting with a volley. He was also effective from free kick: one of his most famous goals was, indeed, a thunderous free kick from 40 metre against Alessandria. He took advantage of his free kick ability also to provide many assists. His teammates used his crosses to hit the ball with a header while Vernazza didn't score much with the head. One of his biggest exploits during his time at Palermo was a hat-trick in six minutes against Como that led his team to win the match. He occasionally retreated to the midfield in order to trigger an attack or a counter-attack with a long ball. He mostly used his strength to break through the defence inside the box since he wasn't very fast. In fact, he had problems of movement when he was marked tight. Moreover, he apparently had scoring problems, was slower and his shots less powerful during the second half. Not for nothing, in Argentina he was regared as a player capable to alternate excellent performances to negative ones.

He was a prolific scorer, always right-footed, gifted with a very powerful shot and sense of position. During a match against Parma in 1958 he shot so powerfully that the ball came in from the outside and despite Vernazza telling that the goal wasn't valid, the referee considered it good.
His main position was right-winger. For example, in the 1959-60 season he played 15 times as right-winger, 11 as right-inside and only 7 as centre forward.
He was incredible from middle distance and when shooting to the bottom corner as soon as he was inside the box. He used to stop the ball with the leg and shoot with a volley. One of his most famous goals was a straight free kick he against Alessandria from 40 metres, while one his most famous exploits was a hat-trick against Como in six minutes.
He was also a good assist-man, especially from free kick. His long passes were also effective when they triggered a counter-attack, which means that he probably occasionally retreated.
He likely wasn't a very good header considering his lack of goals with the head. Instead his teammates used to hit with the head the balls coming from his free kicks.
Apparently his performances got worse in the last half hour since he had difficulty at scoring, making sprints and his shot power decreased. He had troubles when he was marked tight, showing his likely not excellent speed, but he still could somehow break through the defence.

I may had got this wrong but doesn't balance make a player strong in physical duels and defence make him used to move back from the attacking position? Considering the description he was a player who broke through the defences so I thought he could've been a strong player, hard to stop, but maybe it referred to runs through the defence. While regarding the defence, he sometimes sent long balls from the back, meaning that maybe he sometimes moved to the midfield. Anyway, I guess those values might stay as they are.

He has Reaction for this "runs through the defense"

And he might had possessed some kind of offensive freedom in order to drop back and launch pinpointesque passes, this doesn't no necessarily means that he should have better defense, some forwards wouldn't spent a lot of time alongside of the defenders to be constantly marked.

Is it possible to see the old set?
Although Vernazza is considered Palermo's best player ever, his best season in Italy was 1960-61 in Milan.
So, I would extend his era for 1 season

The old set was totally wrong except a few values. It didn't fit the descriptions nor what I read in the reports.
