Yes, it does, specially when you're a cornerstone of the winning team, come on be serious.

And he was better at passing and defensive prowess then those two, even a better leader.

He was also the guy who was mainly blamed for Brazil's shameful exit at the 1990 WC and the cornerstone of the shitty team that got raped by Zizou in 1998 (where was the "leader" in this match?)

See? It's not too dificult.

Who gives a shit what he "did" in 1990 after he lead them to win the world cup in 1994? Is like saying that Ronaldo shouldn't be here despite having won the world cup in 2002 because he had a underwhelming perfomance to his standards as a player in the 1998 WC as a whole (not only the final).

That shitty team was mentally damaged after seen his best player suffered a epilepsy attack the night before the final, who knows what could have happened if that didn't occured.

Neverthless, Dunga scored the penalty that meant the victory in the penalty shootout against Italy in the 1994 final and Netherlands in the 1998 semifinals, that sounds someone who has the guts to take a kick in such crucial moment.

I think you are underrating Dunga.
BTW names are not important put the ones you prefer, this team is unbalanced, there are too much useless players. My favourite would be Cerezo but maybe other players has been more important than him in national team. They need DMF and CMF.

You will put max 4 of them in starting XI :

AMF: Zico/Rivelino/Zizinho
RW: Garrincha
SS: Pelè/Tostao
CF: Ronaldo/Romario

They need eventually a RW like Jairzinho or keep Socrates in this place. Leonidas and Rivaldo are legends but there are too much players in those spots.

Not being serious is the proper term.

EDIT:

The other thing would be "updating" the formation to a 4-2-2-2 line up, thus removing the option of having multiples WF in the squad, but sitting Garrincha is similar to commit a sin, so i'm not pushing this anyway.

I am not Dungas' fan, I prefer Cerezo or Clodoaldo to be honest. Of course instead of Rivaldo.

I would put Jairzinho instead of Zizinho.

It’s not exactly great leadership to headbutt an opposition player in the World Cup final either, but I’m not going to use that as a reason that Zidane shouldn’t be in France All Stars. Also it’s funny you criticising me for saying Zizinho losing in 1950 should count against him, and then blaming Dunga for failing to win in 90 and 98. If you say that winning the World Cup shouldn’t be a reason to have someone in the team, then failing to win it shouldn’t change anything either...

I personally think Cerezo was a better player than Dunga, but I also think it should be based on your importance to the history of the national team. When you think of legendary Brazilian players, you think of the players that lead them to their 5 World Cup titles, not the water carrier that helped them to a 3rd place finish and a quarter final exit (that he was partly responsible for in the first place). It also shouldn’t be based on who was the better player, but who actually played better for Brazil. Otherwise we would have Maradona in Barcelona AS, Kopa in Real Madrid AS, Del Piero in Italy AS and Scholes/Gerrard/Lampard in England AS etc. It has to be consistent.

By the way: shouldn’t Zagallo be the coach? They both won the World Cup, but Zagallo won a Copa America and took Brazil to the final in 1998 too, while the only other thing Feola did was manage them to a first round exit in 1966 which was a disaster.
