Thanks for the team but I don't think that it's possible to leave out their best player (Sastre) in the best XI..
I also don't understand why de la Mata should play as CMF despite beeing a forward..

Your welcome, about the formation, yeah i know that Sastre(yeah is a sin, many friends that are from independiente already told me something like that) is out, i found this formation few years ago, so i get used to it to play with it in my OF, about De La Mata he also plays like a CMF and i read that even sometimes like a WB, but if you or anyone has a better formation, please feel free to post it here. ;)

De La Mata and Bochini actually should be set as AMF, and Bernao and Bertoni should be set as WF if you want to keep the image.

Also there was no WB role back then :s .

P.S:

Sastre actually can play, for Bernao

Formation could be like this actually:

Spoiler: show

GK SANTORO
CB TROSSERO
CB VILLAVERDE
RB CLAUSEN
LB PAVONI
DMF MARANGONI
AMF/CMF SASTRE
AMF BOCHINI

LWF/SS BERTONI
CF ERICO

A friend from independiente send me little magazine from "Infierno Rojo" and it says that sometimes he was a mildfielder that ups and down from the side of the midfield so i guess that the description it means WB. Sometimes there a things that you can't find on internet. ;)

What I'm wondering about is why Seoane isn't part of the first team (despite beeing second best goalscorer in Independiente history + spending most of his career at the club) while Artime is part of the first squad although he only played two years for Independiente..
Btw, if possible, try to add some more players for reserves, 18 players in reserves is quite a small number for a club that won Copa Libertadores seven times (what about Alejandro Semenewicz or Eduardo Commisso for example?)..

And i have a pretty simple answer, that u was disscusing with friends that are fans of this team.
Artime is part of one of the best teams in the era when Independiente was winning almost everything.
And Seoane was a great goalscorer but mostly of his goals were maded in the amateur era.
In Argentina we don't give so much revelance to the amateur era, just look Boca those guys count every single shitty title of that era (matches against their sames low divisions, or friendlys even tourtnaments like "Copa Aldao" ), all of them saying that they have 66 stars (titles) playing in that era.
That is the reason why we don't give so much credit to that era, but we keep an space for them, but here Seoane has an spot so is more than enough.

EDIT: Yeah 5 more players could be added what you have in mind ? I agree with Commisso.

Btw if i can find the Grafico edition with the 100 idols of this team, we can enhance this team.

At least 2 midfielders and 4 defenders need to added in reserves.

Yeah, i was thinking the same about Manuel.

My problem with Artime is that he reminds me of Ibra: amazing goalscorer during his whole career but after all he never stayed long enough at any Club to gain legend status there. Seoane may have played in amateur era but after all he did much more for Independiente than Artime and this is why I'd swap them..
IMO Semenewicz also deserves his place here since he was important member of the team that won Copa Liberatores four times in a row..

Add them, you'll think about some more in the near-far future

Tbh i prefer go to the fans choises , about Semenewicz yeah i can agree with that but they are others players from the 70's and 80's teams that have to be incluided.
Like Dante Mircoli.

Btw it's a miracle that no one suggest Agüero  if someone said Agüero please ban that user.

@Capo i see the kickers, you put Trossero, who say you that he was a great taker ?, that place is for Bertoni
