Hey bro, this is set I use for him. Hope you can work in some "suggestions" to your set. After watching him for a while during the season and compare with players of similar styles of both current and not so past eras, like Vinicius Junior (both in Flamengo and Real Madrid) and Robben (between 03-06); I've arrived to the conclusions you see on the set. Hope it's useful for you.

I see Yamal more as a classic winger, not a modern one. His stamina and reaction should be white numbers, his mentality a 68, I think his teamwork can go up to 70 or 71, his high passes are deadly, from what I've seen of him, he knows how to cross well, better than his low passes. I think Alex Dantas's set hits the nail on the head, with the exception of his ability to pass on the ground.

Suggest what exactly? Main values like Attack been completely off. This guy is Ballon D’Or material and you treat him like nothing. Dantas set is even more hilarious. Never understand why modern players get nerfed like this when it should be the opposite.

He is not nerfed. Yamal is clearly a big talent with great potential to win a Ballon D’Or; has shown it in both Barcelona and Spain NT, however he is only 17 years old and sometimes demonstrates that he's a little green yet. He has a lot of room to mature and improve, probably he will be the kind of player that stays in the highest level for a long time. But that is a thing that we will only know in the next seasons.

And yet I agree that sets of some players from the 1900s to the 60s and even 70s are a overrated, mainly in their physical attributes. And it happens a lot with lesser known players with little to no footage to avaliate correctly. And we have to rely on texts and testimonies to get an aproximated value of their actual capability.

And talking about overrated sets, I can say that your view of Retsos, for example, is quite exaggerated. You are portraing this guy like world class defender, when he barely had any meaningful success out of Greece. I know, I know... He has won the Greek League and Conference League with Olympiakos in this season of 24/25, being capitain of the team and everything else, however a few things could be reviewed. I won't put any numbers here, because it is Yamal's thread, not Retsos'. I am just pointing things out.

And please, do not take this as a personal attack, criticism or offense... That's not the intention. We here have the same goal that is seeing players being correctly portraied and as close of reality as possible.

I agree with you about Yamal. However, "ancient" players aren't exactly lazy either. Countries like Czechoslovakia and Hungary (Central Europe) promoted athletics for much of the last century. Some players even managed to cover the 100-meter dash, like Kolacsay in Czechoslovakia and Isabelino Gradin in Uruguay with the 200-meter dash. And it's not that these are exceptional cases; it's that modern athletes are given more credit for having a higher-resolution camera.

While it's true that some players are overrated, why can't we say the same about modern players? Isn't that a bit mean-spirited? Besides, there have been better players than Yamal in the past, in my opinion, with top-level dribbling and vision. Named Zoltan Czibor, Felix Loustau (this one is basically a wing-back), or Julinho Boltelho, to name the most talented of whom you can see in videos on the internet.
