INFO:
Federico Nieto is a former center-forward. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina (26/08/1983), he started his career in Almagro where he served until 2005 and then began his journey through European football. In the old continent, he played for Glasgow Rangers in Scotland (a team that never paid for the transfer to Club Almagro), for Estrela de Amadora in Portugal, for Genoa C.F.C. and Hellas Verona, from Italy. In 2007 he returned to Argentina to play for Huracán, who loaned him for one year to Banfield, and then returned in 2009, becoming runner-up of the Torneo Clausura, and being part of the starting 11 of Ángel Cappa's team called "Cappa's Angels", where Javier Pastore, Mario Bolatti, and Matías Defederico also played. In 2009 he joined Colón de Santa Fe. On November 3, 2009, he scored an incredible hat trick against his former club, Huracán, at the Elephant Cemetery, in a 3-0 win. He arrived at Athletico Paranaense in mid-2010, being relegated in 2011, but helping his team to be promoted the following year. He then had an interesting career in Ecuador playing for Deportivo Quito, Barcelona SC, and Universidad Católica; He retired in 2020 playing for Boca Unidos de Corrientes.
