INFO:
Paolo Goltz is an Argentinian center-back. Born in Hasenkamp, Entre Ríos (12/05/1982), Goltz started his professional career at C.A. Huracán in 2002. He began to play considerable time in 2004 and by 2007 he was already indisputable in the defence of the Parque Patricios club. In 2008 he was named team captain, forming part of the mythical Huracán team known as "Cappa's Angels". In 2010 he would arrive at C.A. Lanús, where he would automatically become a reference for the garnet team. In 2013, Goltz would win the Copa Sudamericana with Lanús, the team's second international title ever. That same year, he was named in the ideal team of the Copa Sudamericana and South America's Best Team of the Year being listed as the best central-back of the season along with Réver of Atlético-MG. On May 29th, 2014, Goltz's transfer to Club América was confirmed, where he signed for three seasons for a $1.2 million fee. At Club América he would win the 2014 Torneo Clausura and the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2015 and 2016. On July 6, 2017, Paolo Goltz signed a three-year contract with Boca Juniors of Argentina and quickly became the starting center-back, formalizing a defense alongside Lisandro Magallán. In 2018, due to his poor performances and the signing of Carlos Izquierdoz in the winter market, he began to lose ground in the first team, until, with the arrival on loan of Lisandro López in 2019, Goltz finally lost his starting spot. In 2020 he was sold to Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, where he would only play for one year, and ultimately, at 36 years old, he would arrive at Colón de Santa Fe, where, - as the team's captain -, he would win the Copa de la Liga in 2021, the first title in the history of the red and black club. Despite this, in 2023, Goltz lost the category with the club from the city of Santa Fe, and starting in 2024 he will play his last seasons as a professional in the second division of Argentine football.
