Was he really that much of a beast at Gremio?
With these stats he is basically as good as prime Lucio at Inter (actually even has a point more in DEF). In fact, with D-Line Control and Sliding, he is probably even better than Lucio.

Far from his solid but unimpressive performances at Koln and Mallorca.

Geromel was really one of the best defenders of Brasileirão and even South America at the time, but some of these stats are really very high for him. Sure he had good positioning and sense of antecipation, but not on this level. And those stats are very similar to the one on PES Fanon, which is a forum known to overestimate players.

I think a more balanced view would look like this... But still open for debate.
