To mark the turn of the century in 1999 "the Team of the Century" ("Elf des Jahrhunderts") was choosen by the "Kronen Zeitung". In the selfsame process is determined each year's Austria's Footballer of the Year. The winning team is as follows:

Walter Zeman

Robert Sara - Ernst Happel - Bruno Pezzey

Gerhard Hanappi - Herbert Prohaska - Ernst Ocwirk - Andreas Herzog

Hans Krankl - Matthias Sindelar - Toni Polster

JeanMarc, do you have recommendable formation for this team in PES? I honestly never managed to create a really good one, so it would be cool to hear how your formation for this team looks (other members can answer too of course) ;)

Not very different from the first post. Alaba should be in, of course. But I think removing Gschweidl is a mistake. I also see Anton Schall ahead of Körner.

Josef Bican is very debatable. He is on my Austrian squad, but for most people he should be in Czech Republic instead.

This is my ideal formation:

GK HIDEN
RB HANAPPI
CB HAPPEL ©
CB PEZZEY
LB ALABA
DM SMISTIK
CM OCWIRK
CM PROHASKA
SS SINDELAR
CF BICAN
CF KRANKL

Hanappi played as RWH, so he can fit on the RB spot. Sindelar works as a false 9, with Bican as the right side forward and Krankl as left side forward. Since Bican is not present here, he should be replaced with Polster.
Another option would be using Sara at RB and placing Hanappi at the midfield instead of Smistik. In this case, either Ocwirk or Prohaska would work better as the DM.
