I don't rate El-Hadary higher than Bell. His numbers doesn't necessarily translates how good he was. In fact, I wouldn't rate him higher than Grobbelaar or Zaki either.
I also think that he wasn't as good as N'Kono, Grobbelaar, Bell and Zaki. However, I don't find it right to create a team based solely on skills. This is just my opinion, of course.
I agree with that opinion too. I wouldn't put Thiago Silva in my Brazil All-Stars team even though he is probably the most skillfulled CB my country ever produced, but skill has a higher value in my view. You wound't put Dibu Martínez over Carrizo in an Argentina All-Stars squad, would you?
All players we're talking about here are legends. El-Hadary is much more praised for his longevity and titles rather than his skills. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he wasn't a great keeper. In fact, I believe he was nominated for the CAF Cup of Nations best team two or three times, but I don't think he was ever viewed as the very best African keeper even during his prime.
