Is there any reason why Mark Atkinson and especially Mark Burton aren't here?
Burton scored the decisive goal in the 1998 Oceanian Cup final, took part in the 1999 Confed Cup and was voted MVP in the 2002 Oceanian Cup. I don't think that he can be ignored here, after all most players of the squad archieved way less things with the NT. Also Shane Smeltz shouldn't take the corners, since he was a player who was the aim of crosses/corners, not a player who took them.

Added both Atkinson and Burton. I know Smeltz isn't exactly a corner taker but, if I'm not wrong, neither are the others so I didn't know who I should consider.
Is there maybe a player who can take corners and I can add to the first XI in place of someone else?

Watch their 6 WC games then.

For example, Simon Elliott is the default kick taker (for everything except penalties) in the PES 2011 default squad which is the 2010 WC roster.

In the 1982 World Cup Sumner took free kicks and in a few occasions Cresswell acted as secondary taker. Steve Wooddin strangely took all corner kicks despite being a centre forward. In the 2010 World Cup Elliott took corner kicks and both short and long free kicks. So I was thinking to replace Armstrong or Vicelich with Elliott in the first XI. Also, I'd like to add Wooddin as well. Do you think he should be in reserves or in the first team? If the second option is the best one, who should he replace?

Simon Elliott for Vicelich.

Can't say a thing about Wooddin.
