Guys like Pope or Beasley may have more caps but that doesn't change that they were average players through all of their careers.. At the same time, the NASL was of a hilariously poor quality apart from a few players, and Rick Davis literally played indoor football for a large part of his career. Beasley played in a Champions League semi-final, he would have absolutely dominated the NASL at his peak...

My point is that Davis may have been an exceptional player in an absolute joke of a league that was filled with American players with zero footballing ability and elderly foreigners that stopped caring 5 years before, whereas Beasley played at a high level against teams that actually knew how to play football. I don’t even like Beasley, he played for Rangers who I hate with every fibre of my body, but there is a clear difference between being an average player in a good team like Beasley, and being a slightly above average player in a sea of shit like Davis...

Interesting line-up when you play with somebody sent-off

Antonee Robinson should be on reserves, and might be even a good candidate for the first team. I've seen a bunch of people on discussions about the all time greats already putting him as the best LB ever from the USA. He was named Fulham POTY last season, and was also recently named USA POTY for 2024.

I'd like to see him at least be an important part of a successful tournament for the USA before considering him for the first team (like winning a Gold Cup or a good World Cup run). He's definitely a great player though and one of the best left backs in the PL, much better than Caligiuri or Beasley on individual ability.
