Romario has to be swapped to the fenomenon Ronaldo.
Ronaldo help in Two WC , Win one, Two cup americas , Two Confederations , Top Scorer of Selecao after Pele , 1998-2006 Top scorer of WC .

*One Confederations

I am not agree with the best #9 proclaim, Skills wise, probably he was, but his career was totally damaged by his injuries and weight issues, if Ronaldo could have at least stay free injury, then probably the best #9 proclaim wouldnt be a exaggerated..

Regarding the formation, there's no much to say Romário = Ronaldo, different styles, same results..

I also don't see a problem with Romário in best XI.
Btw, added Lucio to reserves ;)

It is not historically accurate that Didi and Zico take the corners with Garrincha in the starting eleven, as you know, even by the 80's in the Brazilian NT the corners were taken almost by side players, so i'd say Garrincha should be the 'first option' in there (at least in the right corners).

Also that Domingos Da Guia listed the 'official captain' is not the best option, he could demonstrate low responsability like in 1938 making penalties, jeopardizing his squad (against Italy for example).
Mauro Ramos did it better than him, a recognized leader (captaining Sao Paulo and Santos during his playing career) + his world cup winner captain status like Beckenbauer (Germany AS), Moore (England AS), Passarella (Argentina AS), are fairly enough to further prove my suggestion on why Mauro Ramos could/should be the '1st captain' of the Brazilian AS instead of Domingos.

Same problem here as in Italy All Stars: Zizinho didn't achieve anywhere near as much as Jairzinho did, I fail to see why someone who scored in every single game in the most legendary World Cup win of all time should be in the reserves instead of someone who was a legendary player but whose legacy is tainted by being part of the worst moment in Brazil's history. Jairzinho was even more important than Rivelino in 1970 too.

And it's disgraceful that Bellini isn't in the first team despite being Brazil's first World Cup winning captain and then winning again 4 years later. He is easily Brazil's most important CB and imo a better player than Mauro Ramos and Luis Pereira.

Zózimo should be in reserves too, another great defender and starter in the 1962 team...

Do you know any valid reason of why should Roberto Dinamite or Eder be here instead of Neymar here?

Absolutely agree. Neymar is not so young anymore. He is 26 years old now and scored an impressive amount of goals with Brazil. You may like him or not but the fact is that he's about to surpass Ronaldo and will probably surpass even the legend of legends Pelé.

Why not Adriano if Éder is "good" enough to be named here despite having the same shitty behavior (Though Adriano suffered a familiar tragedy)? :D

Wow, reducing the NT career of Zizinho on one lost game and taking this as a reason to take him out here - respect for so much nonsense in so few words. Zizinho is one of the top 5 Brazilian players ever (far better than Jairzinho), was a regular member of the NT for 15 years, was their best player at the 1950 WC, won at least a Copa America in 1949 and is still their record player and goalscorer at the Copa America (representing his country at six tournaments). You speak about beeing disgraceful? The only disgraceful thing here is this dumb try to discredit Zizinho because he didn't win a WC
But hey, if we follow this "logic", we should also replace Domingos, Falcao, Zico and Socrates with Roque Junior, Edmilson, Kaka and Ronaldinho

Zizinho top 5?

Pelé, Romário, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Garrincha at least, and that's because we speak about NT performances, let alone the players like Zico who owned football at club level.

And Domingos lol, worst brazilian captain ever conceding childish penalties against Italy in 1938.

Pelé, Garrincha, Zico, Ronaldo and Zizinho.
The only top 5 from Brazil that Rivaldo actually deserves to be in is top 5 actors, nothing more

Zizinho wasn't even Brazil's best player in 1950, Ademir was. I also find Ademir more deserving of first team over Zizinho.

Obviously not everything has to do with who won the trophies (of course it would be stupid to take Schulz or Seeler out of Germany AS for example) but someone like Jairzinho who has an absolutely incredible performance at a World Cup, literally scoring in every game, and also has 33 goals in 81 appearances, that's easily more than enough to be in the first team. I don't even know why you're comparing him to Ronaldinho and Kaka, he did far more for Brazil than either of them, it isn't even close. Stop trying to make me sound unreasonable by putting words in my mouth. And for the record, I would also have Gerson in the team over Falcao, and Ademir or Vava over Tostao...

I'm not trying to discredit Zizinho either, he was one of the greatest Brazilian players of all time. Maybe he shouldn't be taken out. But Jairzinho absolutely should be in the team, it's like not having Paolo Rossi in Italy AS or Helmut Rahn in Germany AS. Not to mention that the greatest national team of all time only has 4 players in this squad, the same amount as the 2002 squad which had a pathetically easy run to the trophy. Compare Jairzinho to Rivaldo, Jairzinho scored against arguably the greatest Italian generation ever and the defending champions in England, not to mention fantastic Peruvian and Uruguayan teams, while Rivaldo won the final against one of the worst German teams ever while scoring against shit teams like China and Costa Rica. And Jairzinho was clearly better than Tostao in 1970 too.

I'm mostly just annoyed by the inconsistency of the arguments. If only having a fantastic World Cup is not enough, then go ahead and take Just Fontaine out of France AS, obviously you wouldn't do that. It's just incredibly unfair that guys that either won nothing or were merely good at World Cups get to stay in the first team while a legendary player that massively contributed to the greatest World Cup win of all time has to sit in reserves.
