According to "History of Greece national team" book notes, about the only occasion Greece faced Chile (1988):
Juan Carlos LETELIER was a big name back then.
Hugo RUBIO was standing out as well, considered to be one of Chile's fastest players. (The author attributes to him 119 goals with Colo-Colo, but I couldn't cross-check it anywhere)
Iván ZAMORANO was the "vendetta" (=great star, person that has gained a great reputation and perhaps has an arrogant behaviour) though, well-known among Greek fans later.

Guillermo Páez, Ignacio Prieto, and Osvaldo Castro all need to be in the reserves, these are some of the best Chilean players ever in their respective positions; some consider Fernando Astengo as the best (or second-best) Chilean center-back after Elías Figueroa so I would say he has a place here too. In my opinion, Carlos Reinoso can go in the first team, and since it might need a proper DM besides Rojas, I'd argue Jaime Pizarro can be moved in over Foilloux, who was a SS. Other players I suggest might be worth adding are Lizardo Garrido, Mario Galindo, Isaac Carrasco, and of course Mario Osbén (who, for me, is far better than Tapia).

Spoiler: show
By the way, the set for Antonio Arias is already posted. I'm working on Eladio Rojas, Francisco Valdés, and Carlos Reinoso's sets to have a full team.

Hey mate,

I remember Astengo at Grêmio. He cant be the second best Chilean CB ever. Where did you find info from him? It might be overrated, kind of ludic texts. It just doesnt sound right for me.

For me, the best Chilean center-backs are Figueroa and Quintano, of course, but there are many people in Chile who consider Astengo at the same level as Quintano; perhaps due to a matter of affinity or age, Astengo was extremely important for Unión Española and Colo-Colo during the early 80s. I don't know how he did at Grêmio, but before FIFA's sanction, he already had a deal to join Lazio. Regarding the national team, I believe there might have been more important defenders (mostly due to the number of games played, because in the 20 matches Astengo played for Chile, he more than demonstrated his footballing quality), but if we're talking about skill, I'm 100% sure that Astengo is in the top 3 Chilean center-backs in history. Then you have players like Humberto Cruz, Raúl Sánchez, Lizardo Garrido, Ascanio Cortés, Pedro Reyes, Miguel Ramírez, or Leonel Herrera, but I don't think they come close to Astengo.

Anyway, if Astengo is included, I believe his name should go in reserves and not the first team: three center-backs and four full-backs is more than okay, and Gary Medel, for everything he's done for the National Team has his place 100% secured, despite not being a natural center-back. But that's just my opinion.
