Auf Abruf wären drei Spieler bereitgestanden: Fritz Buchloh (VfB Speldorf, Torwart), Franz Dienert (VfB Mühlburg, Verteidiger) und Josef Streb (FC Wacker München, Läufer). It seems that Albrecht traveled to Italy and Streb didn't. source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fu%C3%9Fb ... s_Aufgebothttps://prnt.sc/p1u2g9

And I have read in various sources that Germany played in a WM formation in this World Cup. Quote: Originally considered one of the weakest teams in Europe, Nerz had developed Germany into a much stronger side by the early ‘30s. He implemented a new tactical approach for the tournament, opting to play with a 3-2-2-3 formation that relied on young, energetic players https://www.dfb.de/news/detail/world-cu ... 34-187593/Quote: The Germans’ use of the ‘WM’ formation was praised.
http://soccernostalgia.blogspot.com/201 ... ld_82.htmlQuote: Interesting however to note that in the 1934 World Cup competition, Germany were actually using the third back game https://sportstar.thehindu.com/tss2519/25190400.htmQuote: Not only did Nerz adopt the WM for the 1934 World Cup in Italy, he took the inconceivable step of playing Schalke’s greatest attacking star, Szepan, as the stopper centre-back! http://ademirtozizinho.blogspot.com/201 ... ubian.html
