I don't think Asensi could realistic interpret that LB role like Carboni did, Vicente didn't even played in a back four because he was already retired before it was implemented in Spanish football (I don't even think he was a left footed player).
Carboni isn't a wrong suggestion, a phenomenal athletic LB, who perhaps was ignored in Italy for playing in a Spanish club and I don't need to write his career at the club, everyone saw him playing in 2 straight UCL campaigns that ended in UCL finals + the national awards he won in a increasing "duopoly" in La Liga.
Asensi could play if he's set as a defender in a back three (or as a CB in a backfour anyway) or playing as an enforcer alongside another midfielder.
