I only would say that players should get the values they showed and demostrated, and not reduced on what they "deserve" of course, there are exceptions like the ones of CR7 or Dida to give an example.

Players here from late XIX's to early 1970's are strongly inflated in physical abilities, and that's it's a huge mistake there, they have the skills? Quite possibly but why inflated STA, AGI, DS, TS, ACC, RES?, SPS, LPS when they played in a "elegant and classic" way that today's players can't play because they would be crushed by the speed of modern football, but that's something we would never know...So what i'm trying to explain here, it's to have a minimum of a "standard" here regarding past players like maximun Stamina for a 1950's should and must be 90, and white or green values for passing skills, etc, regarding any abilities already mentioned to have a vision of what they played in that time...

Good luck with that!

I think only all pre-60s that need to be deflated. From 60s, sports already had monsters like Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain who can rip apart their contemporary, and they showed it with only few really athletic footage that survived from them. Also, George Best and Garrincha were clearly quicker in acceleration and dribbling than Pele, and we already showed it in their stats, and Jair da Costa already running fast which represent his stats well. We can deflate stats of players who are clearly inflated, but some don't need it at all.

To avoid further "off topic".

Maybe it's just me bothering a lot with this idea, but how about adding an "official" setup to all the AS teams in the forum? Here for example in Atletico Madrid AS we already got the line up, but it lacks the kicks takers/captain..

We should start first with the "big guns". It's logically easier.

I've done Barca and Atletico right now (also added a best XI with a "better" look for them), maybe you should add it for Real?
I'm gonna take care of Bayern and the European teams, you could add it to the South American teams ;)

To give my opinion here: I don't think SP should be deleted as it's the only possibility for new members to post their work here.
On the other hand I can also understand JeanMarc: it's a bit strange posting about twenty players a month (some of them even with two eras), at least I don't think you can watch that many players in such a short time, unless you have nothing else to do..
And one thing to all who are accusing MagicDip of choosing wrong eras for his players (yes, I read that deleted post here) or not watching them enough: I don't think there has ever been a bigger PES expert on Argentina players than Magic and after all it's still decision if he wants to do a set for Roberto Ayala from 2005-2006 or for any other part of his career..

I didn't know that.
Anyway, thanks for the appreciation, although I don't pretend to be a specialist in anything really, it happens that I like and watch South American football or read about it. And I try to be objective on the sets I make (despite my flaws).

I don't have a rule about the era I choose, if I could watch the player then it would be the season(s) I was able to find some games about that player. If I make a player based on texts/books, then I try to not exceed a 4 years span era that I consider his peak. There's no rule in that.

Generally speaking, this stats making stuff is ungrateful, one can do it for free, spend time & efforts to share it with others and people will still be unhappy about this or that. That's part of the game. I don't bother myself with that anymore, if people are happy to use the sets then so be it, if they're not then I don't care either. I don't earn my life with it and actually I could dedicate the time I waste on it to much interesting things in fact, which I probably do increasingly since I'm not 20 years anymore and there will be a time when I'll completely lose interest in PES.
What I can say by experience is that it takes a looooot of time to post a single set, so don't try to fool people by posting 5 sets a day.

What do you think about creating a Netherlands label in Clubs All Star? There are already 15 teams. :NET:

Could someone insert overall ratings? We would have more accurate comparisons. Specifically I need them for the national all-star teams.
