The formation was probably a 4-2-4, something like:

Kirkup - Brown - Moore - Burkett

Peters - Boyce

Sealey - Hurst - Dear - Sissons

Someone has to watch the game to get that right.

Surely they didn't play Metodo in 1965.

Well if someone "works" on an era team, then it should be self-evident to watch games if they're available.

Of course they didn't. After all Rangers didn't use 4-1-3-2 in 1960 but if you don't watch the games, then it's no wonder that you post wrong formations for them. The point is: the only correct formations he ever posted here are those that were actually made by Magic and that he copied from Magic's forum. Just look at Panathinaikos 1970-71, Juventus 1976-77 or Porto 1986-87, just ridiculous

To be fair, the formation posted is the one that they put up in the video itself for some reason, so the BBC clearly also got it wrong in 1965, which is odd. But still, it would make a lot more sense to watch the match before putting a formation, I mean, correct me if I’m wrong because I don’t know too much about him, but it seems very obvious something is wrong if Bobby Moore was listed as a midfielder...
