Majid is a centre back, capable of playing also on both sides. He spent the majority of his career at Al-Sadd, where he made 107 appearances from 2007 to 2019, scoring 11 goals. He was loaned to Al-Arabi and Al-Saliya during the 2019-20 season. He's been playing for Al-Ahli Doha since the beginning of the 2020-21 season. He gained 102 caps for Qatar, scoring 6 times.
Initially a striker in his youth career, he became a centre back as professional to take advantage of his strength and defensive ability. In fact, he's a good man marker, possesses decent speed, good timing of tackle and is very strong in the air. His aerial ability is helpful for anticipating his opponent and clearing the ball away as well as for threatening the opposing box and looking for a scoring opportunity. His past as forward also helped him scoring numerous goals especially thanks to his powerful left-footed long range shots from free kick. His most remarkable goal though is probably a superb bicycle kick in a 2012/13 Qatar Super League match against Al-Khour.
