Camara is a living legend of HSC Montpellier, being the record holder in appearances for the club. He was initially a winger, but could also play as a striker, he was technically average player, with decent shot, but he was known for his strength and his ability to withstand physical duels with much taller players. During the game, most of the time he would wait for the ball on the right wing, often with the defender on his shoulders, and then tried to beat the defender, or passed the ball to some of his teammates and went on to find a better position. He mostly relied on team play than on rather modest skills. Winning the Ligue 1 title was a highlight of his career.
