INFO:
Probably one of the best Polish players in the first half of the 20th century, Henryk Reyman played his entire career for Wisła Kraków. The number of matches and goals isn't accurate: 128 goals in 149 matches or 191 in 196 and less believable 422 in 409. He also capped for Poland, scoring 5 times in 9 games. He's also been captain for both club and national team. As captain he also acted as coach, deciding squad and tactics. Reyman was considered to be the soul of the team since he was the moral leader on and off the pitch. He was a magnificent scorer who tried to use every possible situation to shoot and the fans were impressed by his strikes. He scored goals almost from every position, and he was also known for his powerful shots from the distance, even from 30 metres. In a match against Romania he kicked the ball with a volley on the run and the shot was so thunderous that the goalkeeper went inside the goal with the ball and fell unconscious for a couple minutes. He was also an able piece taker: his penalties and especially his free kicks, taken with exemplary accuracy and technique, caused lively applause. The power and technique of his kicks were renowned but he could score also with the head, after solo dribble runs or after receiving the ball from a teammate. However he was able at organizing the attack as well. His ability to read the play and distribute the ball was phenomenal. He could pass the ball to the wingers, advance forward while dictating his teammates every step, always stepping in himself and kicking extremely dangerous, powerful and measured shots. His playstyle was aggressive, solid and ambitious until the end of the match. In a historical match, Wisła was losing 1-5 at the end of the first half but in the second half, after Reyman had a talk with his teammates, the team managed to equalize with the striker who scored four goals. His presence always assured a great performance for the team. Reyman won two national championships in 1927 and 1928. He was top scorer in the 1927 season with 37 goals and he became the first player to score 5 goals in a single match in the Polish league.

Quote:
Reyman was the centre forwarder in Wisła. At the beginning he was a magnificent scorer, while as the time passed by he managed to combine these skills with the organization of the whole attack. The fans were mostly under the impression of his strikes and scored goals. He scored from free or penalty kicks, from solo dribble runs or from the passes of his co-players. He could strike with any allowable part of a body: from slightly disdained tips to headers. Experts underlined the power and the technique of his strikes.

One anecdote rendering in an appropriate way his dynamite in legs refers to the match against the Romanian club - Fulgerul. Reyman scored 4 goals while one strike was a volley kick on the run. That strike was so powerful that the Romanian goalkeeper went into the goal with the ball and fell unconscious for a couple of minutes. No wonder that goalkeepers quailed at the sight of him shooting.

His extraordinary effectiveness he showed during the National League seasons. The league verified value of players. He passed the exam with flying colours as the top scorer. His 37 goals in 23 official league matches in 1927 is still the unbeaten record until today. The talent of leading Wisła attack formation was his next asset. He had a phenomenal ability to read the play and to distribute the ball to his teammates. Thanks to him Wisła presented a unique yet well-recognizable style of play and the character which was the aggressive, hard, solid and ambitious play to the end, regardless the result. As a captain of the ‘Reds’ for over 10 years he conducted the play of the team.

Spoiler: show
Damn, the best player ever is not from Argentina or Brazil, it was from Poland!

Look at the scoring stats and also the position is inside forward, more SS than CF.
