Theodor Lohrmann was unbelievable athlete, he played for football NT, in waterpolo he was one of the best players in the world, in tennis he was ranked 10th on the world rankings, he competed also in handball and rugby. Giant keeper, also fat but strong with excellent ball catching skills, famous for his long drop kicks which even resulted in goals twice. Hugely varied allrounder who apart from football also engaged in rugby, tennis, handball and water polo (in this sport he was also an international). The huge Lohrmann was known for impressively long punts, his energetic interceptions, always willing to take risks and not least because of his ball catching ability and his mastering of goalkeeping inside the penalty box. He was a fierce competitor of Nürnberg's Heiner Stuhlfauth, however when he joined ASV Vienna in 1923, becoming a professional there, his international career for Germany was finished because the German FA did not accept professionals in its ranks. After his career he settled in Switzerland and among other things became the tennis trainer of the Rothschild bankier family. "Teddy" Lohrmann was goalie and began his career at SV Waldhof Mannheim, where he played until 1920. There they were in the southern group behind the first FC Nuremberg on the second Place, which then also won the German championship with 2-0 goals against SpVgg Fürth. Since the first FC Nuremberg with Heiner Stuhlfauth had the time probably best goalkeeper of Germany in his team undertook the SpVgg Fürth with Theodor Lohrmann ado the second best goalkeeper of this period. In the same year Lohrmann came in the match against Hungary on 24 October 1920 in Berlin, his first appearance for the German national football team. Although he Stuhlfauth was now equal, he could not oust him and came to his career total of only three internationals. With Fürth, Lohrmann succeeded in winning the title in 1923 in southern Germany. With Southern Lohrmann won the 1922 victory in the Federal Cup. In 1923 Lohrmann for Wiener Amateur Sports Club, where he played until 1929 before he trailed off his career with the Wiener AC. With Austria Wien he celebrated in 1924 and 1926, winning the championship and the Cup. In 1925, he was with the Austrian Vice- champion and cup winner. After his playing career Lohrmann was physical education teacher and worked as a trainer, among other things for FC Zurich, Rot Weiss Oberhausen, Schwarz-Weiß Essen and Hamborn 07 Oberhausen he took over on 20 October 1938 and grew with the team from Niederrheinstadion 1939 on the Gauliga Niederhein. He died in 1971.
