INFO:

Former German goalkeeper, widely regarded as the best 1860 keeper before Petar Radenkovic. Max Kob was the backbone of the TSV defense during the 1920s and one their most important players alongside Alois Pledl, Josef Wendl and Sebastian Gabler. Kob was known for his pretty good reflexes and shot stopping from short distance. His only weakness were crosses/corners though who he tended to misjudge/not clear properly - sometimes he conceded goals afterwards, sometimes he could save the situation with his reflexes though.
Despite his good performances for 1860, he never got called up for Germany - mainly because the tough competition for the GK spot (with Heiner Stuhlfauth as the dominant keeper of this era). He had to end his career in October 1930 after a heavy injury.
