INFO:Silvestri was a left-winger and occasionally inside-left. His career started in 1922 at Pro Livorno where he spent the majority of his career, making 255 appearances and scoring 65 goals from 1922 to 1934. He retired in 1938 after short experiences with Milan, Sampierdarenese and Empolese.
One of Livorno's most important players alongside Mario Magnozzi during the 1920s, Silvestri and his teammate were the ones who usually organised the offensive play. Silvestri possessed a great speed, solid dribbling and a good shot, usually from favourable positions. Not prolific as some teammates like Magnozzi, Bruno Maini and Mario Palandri, Silvestri was though a solid passer and crosser. Due to his style of play, he was one of Livorno's most dangerous players and he was usually marked by the opposition's best defender. When he didn't have enough space to move during the match, Magnozzi was forced to double duty.
