Penn was a left-winger. A one-club man who spent his entire career at Fulham, he's considered one of the club's greatest legends. He made 459 appearances from 1915 to 1934, mostly in Second Division, and scored 50 goals. He was called-up several times to play for England during wartime but unfortunately, he never capped.
Penn wasn't a very prolific forward but he was distinguished for strength, quickness off the mark, tactical intelligence and most importantly his excellent assist-man ability mostly due thanks to his accurate crosses.
