INFO:

Ivan Stevović is former Serbian player. He was mainly centerhalf and is regarded as one of the best on his position in country. A true giant, dominant physically, good in ball recuperations and closing the opponents attacks but also with very good technique and excellent long passes, very strong and unbeatable in aerial battles although a bit slow and with problematic character. He was the last great classical centerhalf in Belgrade. He started to play in Belgrade Busko-offspring, and celebrated in the "blue" shirt BSK Belgrade (1931 -1938) where he won the championship three times (1933, 1935. And 1936). Shorter played in France, but soon returned and finished his career in the uniform of Unity SK - Belgrade (1939-1944) - as a right back, because he refused to the WM - system plays center-half - "policeman". Even a dress shirt 24 times the selection of Belgrade city, and five times he defended the color representation of Yugoslavia (1933-1939) and scored one goal (1934. In Belgrade against Brazil - 8:4). He made his debut on 10 September 1933rd against Poland (3:4) in Warsaw (Lehner replaced), and the national team said goodbye to six years later (the competition was very high: Gajer, Jazbec, Jazbinšek) - 2 February 1939th in a friendly match against Germany (2:3) in Berlin. He was a very successful coach in the country and abroad (Egypt, Kuwait and Greece). He died in 1999.
