Willi is former Austrian striker. He played as inside forward mainly although he was more a technical CF than creative SS. Willi was great scorer, very canny and intelligent in positioning with strong shot and great heading abilities. Besides he was very agile and mobile and had very good technique. Willy Hahenmann began his football career at SR Donaufeld, from which he came in 1931 in the First League to the SK Admira Wien. He quickly established itself here as a left connector and in the 1935/36 season he could be even Austrian scorer. Willy Hahnemann as a partner with the right wing in this period was called Admira Leopold Vogl. In the period until 1939, the gypsy, as he was called on account of his complexion, collecting only five championships with the Austrian botanists as well as twice winning the Cup ÖFB. During the famous 8-0 victory over Rapid Cup final in 1934, he appeared as a three-time scorer in appearance.
