André Abegglen is the youngest of the three Abegglen brothers. Organizer and "lung" of F.C Sochaux 1937 and of the Swiss National Team 1938. Technique, far-sightedness, activity, all was there. A true scorer-strategist, the marvelous André Abegglen, nicknamed "Trello", is a sort of Di Stefano from the earliest ages. With his bald head and frail appearance, he was a model pre-war footballer. His talent and his knowledge of football allowed him to shine at two World Cups and to be a player-coach for FC Sochaux at only 26 years old. A great artist, he is a master of dead balls and volleys (25 goals). Especially he can read the game like no other and pass on his passion to the young players. André "Trello" Abbegglen played 52 times for the national team over a period of 15 years, he scored 29 goals. "Trello" is undoubtedly one of the best strikers Switzerland ever had.
