INFO:

Albino is former Benfica captain and one of the first legends in the history of the club. He started to play as right wing half but mainly played as centre wing half. Emaciated and frail-looking, gave up the fight altogether, never turning to face, at a time when the average position of the center was of greater responsibility. Albino was the fulcrum of all operations of defense and attack, a player who ran around the field, without a break, without a swoon. He defended the colors of Benfica for 13 seasons, between 32/33 and 44/45, scoring 25 goals in 462 games, with 371 times the average line center. It started in the lower categories of the Club, the first game by doing "childish", 29/30 (at the time equivalent to current juniors). He debuted in the first team on 26/12/32, in the field of Ray, in Braga, opposite the selection of this city. The Benfica coach was then Ribeiro dos Reis. Albino, the "Spice," as he was known, was a player gene. nternational in 10 games, helped Benfica win two Championships in Lisbon, 6 National Championships (3 of 3 of the I League and Division I), 1 Cup of Portugal and 3 Cups of Portugal, having played the final of the Championship of Portugal and 2 Cup finals. Got to the National Team to play a friendly with Spain (3-3), in Lumiar. Revealed himself irreplaceable in the team of Benfica and corners. Assured, this year, the first of six championships. Moreover, by way of recognition, he was elected Member of Merit and Silver Eagle. Always in competition, continued on the path victorious, ensuring stardom and giving the club a place of primacy in the context of national football. He was known for seasoning. Financially detached, never haggled since the signing of a contract, or so left to call for a premium game, it was small, likely rewards make the effort and that of his companions. "When it comes to the spice?" Was the phrase often, proferida.Fez 13 seasons at Benfica. He played 462 games, 343 of which are official character. He left his club ever at age 33, ran the year 1945. Janos Biri was his coach. Died on February 25, 1993, one of the most talented fighters and Benfica players ever.
