Nicolae Simatoc is former Romanian-Moldovan player who played for lot of teams in Europe. He was right wing half and inside right, very tall and strong but lazy and didn't like to run, pretty slow but excellent passer with great lucidity and vision, good technician with numerous assists, pretty strong player. Born in 1920, Briceni, Moldova, on the border with Ukraine and Romania, Simatoc has an incredible life story. Basically, through the ball round and grace with which God endowed managed to dribble all the evils that were watching. Tumultuous history gives no peace of Simatoc, which in 1963 is again forced to leave. In the Iberian Peninsula, Franco's dictatorial regime did not allow people without a passport. So Simatoc reach round ball riding in distant Australia, where he was modest teams coach. It was the third time with football Simatoc avoid a dictatorial regime. He died in Sydney on January 1, 1978.
