Zeffiro Furiassi is former Italian defender who was part of good Lazio side from 50's alongside Bredesen, Sentimenti and Co. He was very fast player with good technique and implacable in marking. Besides he was very intelligent player who closed his opponents with great anticipating and tactical awareness, protecting the left side with astuteness and was able to make good passes to his teammates. Furiassi was born in Pesaro, January 19, 1923, died in Florence November 4, 1974. He began his career in 1939/40 into the team of his city, Vis Pesaro Series C after practicing athletics and also having played football in the square of the Port district. The following year he was bought by Fiorentina with his teammate Avanzolini for 15,000 lire. In 1940/41 and 1941/42 played only 2 games while in 1942/43 he played 29 league games.
