INFO:Campatelli is a former half-back, who initially was a winger and inside forward. He spent almost his entire career at Inter, playing 304 matches from 1936 to 1950, scoring 44 goals. He retired in 1953 after three seasons at Bologna. He capped 7 times for Italy. Inter captain from 1943 to 1950, Campatelli was a mainstay in the team's midfield despite the fact that he missed many matches in some seasons. He didn't have enough sprint and acrobatic qualities to play in the attack. He wasn't a tackler and didn't use all his energy in the matches, preferring to spare it as much as he could. That's why he wasn't good as pure defensive midfielder either, even though Italy coach Vittorio Pozzo used him in that position. Campatelli did the best he could at playing the balls he received or that he intercepted by chance. However, he preferred delivering powerful and accurate long range shots that made him a threat even when he played in less advanced positions.
