INFO:

Fans with more than half a century of experience rightly consider Golubev one of the strongest defensive players in the history of the "Dynamo" Kyiv. Physically strong, jumping, confident and cold-blooded, he acted bravely, sometimes risky, beating balls in acrobatic jumps that sometimes did not succumb to the pragmatic logic of the "bustlers."

Vitaliy Golubev is a Muscovite. He grew up on Krasnaya Presnya and, like all Moscow boys, spent his free time on the surrounding wastelands - football was above all ... But even before the war, his father gave him to a circus school and, apparently, this circumstance eventually made Vitaliy the best acrobat ... among football players. Before the serious circus, however, it did not come about, as in the 42nd, without waiting for the draft age and despite protests from relatives, Vitaliy volunteered for the front. In the 44th in Hungary was seriously injured ... He was cured and remained in the army. Is it possible to imagine the Soviet army without football - Vitaliy began to play in the army teams ... Soldier's fate threw him first to Kirovograd, and then to Kyiv. Almost three years Golubev played for the team of the Kiev House of Officers. In January, 51st Oleg Oshenkov, the new coach of Dynamo, during the winter championship of Kyiv, looked at the army team of two defenders - Golubev and Golyakov ...

In autobiographical book by goalkeeper, Oleg Makarov, the legendary guard of the Dynamo, devoted many pages to Golubev, admitting that he was as calmly behind him as behind the Berlin Wall ...
Quote:
I consider Golubev one of the most unique central defenders in the history of Dynamo Kyiv. He was not just an impassable protector - an artist! Excellent technique, a strong shot, an accurate pass, an excellent head playing, the ability to see the field and secure your partners - all these qualities were inherent to my friend in full. And who did not admire his acrobatic jumps - it was something indescribable! .. And it was done because all this is not for the sake of trickery - only a demonstration of the ability even in the most difficult situation to control oneself.

The famous player of Dynamo Kyiv Andrey Biba, who when he was a player learned a lot from his older friend, later recalled:
Quote:
Struck by the deceptiveness of his appearance: broad-shouldered, broad-chested, reminiscent of a weightlifter, Vitali in the game was transformed, showing miracles of dexterity and plasticity, making out with the ball such that the audience involuntarily broke away from the seats. The most elusive balls for taming, as if from a catapult flying in a meter or two meters from the ground, he, playfully, or stopped "tightly", or beat accurately at the address. And, already effective, the "scissors" blow in his performance was accompanied by such a rich gamut of coordinated movements that it was already worthwhile to sell tickets to this spectacle.

In Soviet football, Golubev was considered one of the founders of sliding reception. "Today I want to close my eyes and ears, when players use" tackle ", - Andrey Biba thinks - sometimes it's just terrible! .. But when this reception was performed by Golubev, people were merrimented by aesthetic pleasure: the athlete's powerful body was stretched in perfect gymnastic twine, and the ball neatly, stretched into a string with a toe of socks, knocked out from under the legs of the striker without the least touch to the opponent ... "

Vitaliy was afraid of heights since childhood: he did not even dare to go up to the upper floors of the houses - what can we say about airplanes. It is not surprising that when he was offered to fly with the national team to the end of the world - to Iceland, he flatly refused this trip. Although in India in the national team in 1955 still flew ... Perhaps fear of air travel did not allow Vitaliy to playing in the national team and at the same time sports officials mostly preferred players from Moscow.

Playing for...
Dynamo Kyiv (1951-59) - 158 games.
Dynamo Khmelnitskiy (D2, 1960) - 6 games.
Niva Vinnitsa (D2, 1960) - 13 games.

USSR League 2nd place - 1952.
USSR Cup - 1954.

USSR footballer of the year - 1952.

In All Stars Team of the USSR League - 1952.

For the Soviet national team played 1 game.
