Very fast player and mobile, not spectacular or too strong but very versatile and secure, above all pretty consistent and respected by the coaches. He made his debut in the national team May 29, 1955 in Bucharest, Romania in the match (2-2). He participated in the Olympic Games in Rome, played in all matches Polish team. The colors of the Legion won the Polish championship twice (1955, 1956) and the Polish Cup three times (1955, 1956, 1966). He was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit. Born Dec. 27, 1932, in Rembertow, graduate automotive technical school, see WP sł. degrees (moved to reserve 31 May 1957), coach, player, the left-back, a graduate of the local HR (1947-1949). Athlete of the capital clubs: Marymont (1949-52), Aviator (1953), Legion (1954-1967) and RKS Membrane (1968-1972). One of the leading players of the team Łazienkowska military, where in 14 seasons he played 217 league games, scored 3 goals, 2 Polish titles (1955, 1956) and was 3-times Polish Cup winner (1955, 1956, 1966). 36-times Polish representative (35 A +1), made his debut in the match against Romania (1955), and saying goodbye to the national team during a meeting with Belgium (1962). Merited Master of Sports, among others honored Silver Cross of Merit. At Olympic Games 1960 Rome: soccer team defender (played in all matches), which the group elim. (4 ass'y.) Defeated Tunisia 6:1 and lost to Denmark 1-2 and Argentina 0-2, taking third place and were eliminated from the tournament (called Yugoslavia). He died on January 10, 2011 in Warsaw. |
