INFOEngelbert 'Berti' Kraus (30 July 1934 – 14 May 2016) was a German football player. Kraus was right winger, one of the fastest strikers in Germany. Small and slim, but very agile and fast with good dribbling and solid scoring capacities with 117 goals in 328 games for Offenbach. Berti run a lot on the pitch, very endurable player, coming deeper to help and changing the side as well. He was tricky and explosive winger with good shot and crosses, had the same amount of explosiveness after 50 meters long sprint just like at the start of it. Kraus played for Kickers Offenbach from 1952 and from 1963 to 1965 at TSV 1860 Munich. From 1965 he played again with the Kickers, for whom he scored 117 goals in 328 games. Kraus played 1952-1963 for the Kickers Offenbach in the Oberliga Süd. From 1955 to 1960 Kraus came up with 14 games in the final round for the German Soccer Championship, scoring eleven goals for the OFC. With the start of the Bundesliga in 1963 coach Max Merkel got Kraus to 1860. Despite the gain of the DFB Cup on 13 Was June 1964 in Stuttgart with a 2-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt is not a happy time for Kraus. After only 22 games with nine goals in 1965, he returned back to the Bieberer mountain. He played with the Kickers after two years in the South Regional and came up with 33 games with six goals. With the game on 21 June 1967 in Göttingen 05 in the Bundesliga promotion round in 1967 ended his active playing career Kraus. In the German national team came Kraus from 1955 to 1964 used nine times. He was also to the national squad that participated in 1962 at the World Cup in Chile. In the group game on 6 June 1962 against the host nation Chile, 2-0 victory for the Herberger charges, he then went on outside right in the stadium Estadio Nacional in Santiago next to Uwe Seeler, Albert Brülls and Hans Schaefer. His last use of the DFB-Dress resulted then from the game on 7 June 1964 in Helsinki against Finland. After two meniscus surgeries in 1965 ended the former right winger his career and worked as an insurance clerk in Offenbach.
