A harmonious duo in total unison. Rarely did two players complement each other like Klaus and Uwe.” President Carl-Heinz Mahlmann made sure that the two outstanding offensive talents Seeler and Sturmer could be used in friendlies before their first league round to the north, in 1954/55. After just six league games debuted Klaus Stürmer on 16 October 1954 in the German national football team at international match in Hanover against France.
