Thio Him Tjiang was a left-half or left-back who could also play as inside-left. He played in the 1950s and early 1960s, wearing the shirts of UMS 1905, Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung. A member of the Indonesia national team from 1954 to 1962, he capped 43 times, taking part to 1956 Olympics and 1958 Asian Games.
Even though he was versatile and capable of playing on the left side of defence, midfield and attack, he was mainly deployed as left-half and left-back. In his defensive role he was a tough, calm and clean defender who stopped the opposition's attacks with hard work. He gave a glimpse of his abilities at the 1956 Olympics in the match against Soviet Union as he desperately protected the back-line from the attacks of the much stronger opponents. He was nicknamed "Lady Legs" because he had smooth legs that rarely got injured.

Judging by the hairstyle, I believe he may be the second guy standing from left to right. He looks taller than his teammates also in the picture you posted and he was surely taller than goalkeeper Saelan. Considering that they look nearly the same and Saelan has the head raised, I can imagine that were the two side by side Thio would look taller.
