Bacuzzi was a right-back who could play also on the left side − mostly with the national team. He grew up in England but his parents were both Italian. He spent all of his career at Fulham with 289 matches and scored twice from 1935 to 1956 − excluding guest appearances for several clubs such as Manchester City, Derby County, Chelsea and Arsenal. He capped 13 times for England during wartime. He played until he was 40 years old and retired only due to a bad knee injury. Bacuzzi was considered a formidable full-back. Positional sense and header ability were his main qualities but he had also ball control and could kick the ball.
