INFO:

Arguably one of the most complete strikers England has ever produced. Ronnie Allen was a legendary West Brom striker who had the scoring ability of a centre forward but the technique and playmaking skills of an inside forward. He had a completely free role on the pitch and would float all over the front line, linking up perfectly with his teammates with neat passing and being involved with attacking moves from the very start to the ball ending up in the goal. He had virtually no weaknesses in his game, apart from his lack of height and physicality which prevented him from winning more England caps. He was a quick player with a good leap, very good technique for a centre forward, perfectly two footed and he would run for 90 minutes straight, chasing players down in his own half and even harassing the goalkeepers when they tried to kick it out from the back. He was an absolute nightmare for opposition defenders to play against as he'd drop deep and float out to the wings which combined with his boundless energy and pace would make him very hard to track. His off the ball movement was very intelligent and he'd continuously find himself in space both inside and outside the box. His passing was very good, especially with one touch passes, and he was an excellent penalty taker. Allen is West Brom's 2nd top scorer of all time, and holds the 8th most appearances for the club.
