INFO:Giubertoni is a former centre back or right-back and occasionally a defensive midfielder. His career began in 1963 in a minor league. The next season, he was bought by Palermo, where he spent six seasons, playing 209 matches. He joined Inter in 1970, playing 214 games in six years, scoring twice. He retired in 1977 after one season at Hellas Verona. He was never called up for Italy even though he was considered one of the best Italian players in his position.
Giubertoni was a strong man marker and tough tackler, always near tightly to his opponent. He was brave, careful and gifted with great temperament. His defensive skills made him effective also against great strikers like Anastasi and Boninsegna. He could deliver good long passes from the back and often pushed forward to exchange short passes, cross to the box or attempt to score with powerful shots. Nicknamed "Rock", he once broke his nose during a match but decided to keep playing.
