INFOS:

Odd Iversen is considered as the best ever Rosenborg player and also one of the best Norwegian players ever. He played as striker and was dangerous from every position. He was able to shoot equally good with both feet, from very difficult positions, he possessed incredible leaping ability and also was a great header of the ball. According to some contemporaries, he possessed finishing technique which was never seen in Norwegian football back then. He was good with the ball in his feet, able to beat the opponent and create himself a chance for scoring, but he mostly scored goals from his collaboration with Harald Sunde, with whom he understood perfectly. Sunde was very technically gifted player, and he served Odd with balls, and Odd had great feeling for open space and perfectly timed runs for those balls. He had a problem with officials and often got booked for telling them off. He was the first Rosenborg player to score a hattrick in European game, when he scored against Rapid Wien in European Cup. He is the first Norwegian player to get a testimonial match by his club. He was Norwegian league topscorer for three seasons in a row 1967, 1968 and 1969 scoring 17, 30 and 26 goals respectively. This achievement is incredible, bearing in mind that that back then there were only 18 games to play in Norwegian league. Even though he was wanted by European greats, after these amazing seasons, he ended up in Racing Mechelen. Later he returned to Norway and kept on goalscoring regularly. For Norway NT, he played in 45 games, scoring 19 times. His most famous moment came against France in 1968, when he scored the decisive goal against them.
